Temple Of Love Festival Update

7th August
Candle Vigil -9pm SLT inside Tibetan Stupa on Shangria

You are all invited to share in a peaceful candle vigil in the stupa in support of a peaceful resolution for the Tibetan people. We will stream the music of Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo from her CD "Ama'. Everyone who has placed a candle on their sim please go & register the candle at http://www.candle4tibet.org/ if you do not do this your candle doesnt count in the official total. We cannot do this for you. Its very easy just your name and email address is all they ask for and some people are even including their avatar pic on the map.

We are having a contest for your Tibetan Peace Torch. Send us pictures of your torch on your sim. Izzy Cole Photography is donating 5000 Linden for a picture of the most beautiful setting of the torch. The contest will be judged by Shakti Cianci and Izzy Cole, and will be announced at the festival on August 8th. 'Please send your entries to Izzy by midnight SL time August 6th. The winning picture will be displayed on Shangria at SpaceJunky Plaza with a LM to your sim or business. Both snapshots and photoshopped pics will be accepted. Shakti's Going Away Party

On May 17th Bella and the rest of the production crew threw a going away party for Shakti, as she was about to go on a 10 day retreat with a high Tibetan Lama to learn an ancient healing system from Tibet that some say is the origion of reiki. Bella never does anything by half meausures and so when Shakti arrived there were angel wings and halos for everyone. It was at the Shangria Falls, Shakti's favorite place in all SL and they got Cypress Rosewood to play,
and Tommy did his awesome fireworks, and we hung out at the PQE meditation circle that Dannon built for Shakti, Shakti said it was one of her favorite nights in SL ever. Thank you to Bella, Izzy, Tommy, Dannon and Wizzi for making it happen, and a special hug for Bella.......:-)

Opening of Tibet Sim from Shangria

On May 11th we opened the Tibet sim with a celebration at Shangria. Shangria is turning out to be a great new home for SpaceJunky and we hope to host many great events there in the coming months. Soon we wil be announcing our new stores with some top SL designers, along with the Inspire Center which features products by the Inspire Team of Dannon Robbiani & Sion Bedrosian.

Club D'Fine

On April 20th we did a show for the good people at D'Fine and it was a fundraiser for Tibet with pictures of HH the Dalai Lama, a great night was had for a good cause. Tibet is always close to Shakti's heart and our prayers go out to those in Tibet at this time.

2nd Temple Of Love Festival

On March 9th we held the 2nd Temple Of Love Festival which is a fundraiser to help build the Potala Palace in SL. It was hosted at Ginsberg Art Gallery at the Grand Amphitheater and then we played a show at Babylon 6 to close. It was an amazing fundraiser nd we raised $160,000Linden which has helped the DLTP move into their new sim that was donated recently, now we hope that the other sims can be sponsored quickly so that this great project can move forward quickly. Our hearts go out to the Tibetan people at this time and we hope the situation can be resolved peacefully for all concerned. Loving Kindness is the only way.......with a healthy dose of Cosmic Love & Positive Energy of course.

Temple Of Love Festival - Fundraiser for The Dalai Lama Tibet Projects

On Feb 13th we held our first Temple Of Love Festival as a fundraiser for the Dalai Lama Tibet Projects in Second Life at the Ginsberg ART Center. The DLTP is the vision of Bhikkhu Kamachi who is a RL monk who whilst in virtual meditation conceived the idea to build the Potala Palace in SL as a gift of loveto His Holiness and invite the Dalai Lama in for an inaugaration ceremony and create a Tibetan community. It was a wonderful festival featuring artists such as Moxy Barracuda Galaxia Benoir and Jax Streeter, followed by show by SpaceJunky, Ritchey Jacobus a wonderful artist both in SL and RL auctioned a Rl painting on Ebay and there were many wonderful businesses who donated to the cause including Aussie Icons, A Higher Porpoise, Fnordian Link, Ren's Design Tattoos and More, OD Designs, as well as SpaceJunkys sponsors and production crew and we humbly thank everyone who made this a success!

A highlight of the evening for Shakti was when Bhikkhu asked Shakti to be his spiritual and legal successor to the project in case circumstances beyond his control do not permit him to finish the project. Shakti humbly accepted this great honor and vowed to see it to completion but told Bhikkhu with a smile...."don't go visting any mountains just yet, we need you here...Namaste."
